I am a 24 year old and live in Chico with my fiance and adorable dog, Alfie! I have a BA in Liberal Studies with minors in Special Education and Music. I have 2 teaching credentials: General Education K-8 and Education Specialist (special education) K-12.
I taught special education in a K-6 mild/moderate class for the 2011-2012 school year. I am now looking for employment for the 2012-2013 year. I love teaching but need a bit more time to plan my wedding, and hopefully through evening course work on my Master's degree in Education, which I am about halfway through.

I love kids and have spent my entire life working with and educating them. The only jobs I have ever had are in these fields!
-I started Babysitting almost weekly when I was 12-18 years old
1) High school/college: Day Camp counselor (kids ages 3-11)
2) College: Nanny to a wonderful 2-year-old boy
3) College: Sacramento Zoo Camp Teacher, science (k-6)
4) College: Aide for college students with disabilities
5) Special Education teacher

I am someone who understands all of the needs our children have today. Growing up with so much technology I do believe they benefit from experiencing technology but they also have a need for outdoor play! I also love creating sensory activities as well as fun ways to practice letters, counting, sorting, etc for young kids. This does not mean I want to teach your children all day, unless that is what you want. I think a child's most important job is to have fun and explore life!
