My name is Katie. I would like to tell you a little about me and hopefully you will have an interest in meeting me. I love to work with children. During my senior year in High School I participated in Teacher Academy. Teacher Academy is classes developed for those students interested in pursuing a career in education. I was able to mentor a 2nd grade class, 4th grade class as well as a special needs class. This only strengthened my passion for working with children and I will begin my college life studying early childhood in the fall at OSU. I also worked with students during my open periods as well as during lunch helping with their reading. I participated in Project More which is a reading program in the grade schools. I have sat for more than one child in a household, as well as homes with pets. I currently sit for my neighbors as needed and they have 2 boys between the ages of 1 and 5. I have a dog and a pony. I love to ride and be outside. I do believe that children of all ages should have at least 60 minutes of exercise a day. I would love to help with reading during the summer but also would love to do fun activities.
