I am a certified elementary school teacher, and taught for four years in elementary/middle schools. For the past two years, I have been a preschool teacher at a local NAEYC/Keystone Stars accredited child care center, and I also provide child care weekly at a local church. As a mother, I understand how important finding the perfect caregiver for your children is. In addition to my teaching experience, I was a nanny for five years. I was a nanny for children ranging from 13 months old to 10 years old. I only ended my caregiver relationship with my previous family when their youngest began school full-time. I was with that family for four and a half years, and I still occasionally babysit or take their youngest for play dates. As a mother, I also have experience with newborns and infants. I am skilled at planning age-appropriate activities and outings, assisting with schoolwork, helping the family itself out by completing household chores, running errands, carpooling/transportation and attending children's appointments. I see my role as that of both caregiver and as one who eases the life of the parent(s) so that they may enjoy more time with their children. Please note that my daughter (6 years old) would have to be permitted to accompany me to any job.
