I am a master's level therapist at a local high school and have been working with youth since 2007. I am the oldest of five children and have countless cousins so I have gotten my share of experience with babysitting. I am comfortable working with all ages beginning at roughly 4-6 weeks. I currently do not have any children of my own, however my best friends both have children and therefore I have been around children on a regular basis.

I have experience volunteering with multiple summer camps and therefore, like to do crafts and try to come prepared to keep children entertained. I wouldn't say that I have any specific care giving philosophies; however I do believe that exercising the mind and body are very important. I did nanny while in high school for summers and while in college and would implement structure for 30 minutes of reading time as well as exercise time into each day. As a social worker I do teach Love and Logic and strongly agree with the techniques taught and enforced in that program. I understand the importance of consistency and structure and would do nothing to impede on parenting styles, but rather re-enforce what the parent's desire.

I am currently not caring for children and have not babysat for a few years, however I just purchased a home and am looking for some work to do to help pay off some extra debt.

I am experienced in caring for both dogs and cats. My cat has been with me for the 18 years of his life and I am learning to adapt to a puppy. I am comfortable caring for all pets with given instructions as I would not want to impede on current care. I do not yell or hit my animals and try to care for them in a loving manner while still being firm and structured.
