I am a 25-year-old full-time college student and full-time employee. I have been an experienced child care giver since I was 14. I had been a caregiver starting at the age of 15, for a household consisting of five children ranging in ages from 12 years old to 1 1/2 years old. One of the oldest children was a special needs child. I worked with this particular family for 3+ years, often spending almost entire weekends with the kids. I still often baby-sit for my family and friends. I am very active with the kids and rarely resort to television. I love spending time with children, playing games, reading stories and learning from and teaching children. I'm usually the hit with the kids at family parties, etc. I am able to maintain a fun, yet controlled, environment. I have never had a problem establishing a trusting and caring relationship with both parents and children. I am extremely responsible and take the position very seriously. No shenanigans here! I am majoring in education with a minor in history and maintain a high GPA, and am responsible at work and in my private life. I enjoy cooking and don't mind a little housekeeping as well. I never leave your house a mess and always clean up after meals and playtime with the kids depending on age. I like to do new things with the kids so nobody gets bored. Please note that I am an occasional smoker (oh college!), but I will not and do not smoke inside or while baby-sitting at all. I understand parents sensitivities to the smell of smoke and will take precautions to be smoke-smell free.

I am kind of crafty and have a craft box. I like to find out what the kid's interests are. Outside play, homework ( I love to help kids learn), etc. are no problem.
