Since I was 5 years old, my mother has had an in-home daycare, so my twin sister and I did not have to go to a daycare. I've been around children all my life and love them. Once I turned 15, I started working for my mom after school caring for young children ages 6 weeks to 13 years old. I also did many weekend jobs babysitting and pet-sitting. I watched many children and have loved them all. A hobby of mine is tutoring kids, I tutored third graders in math and reading all through high school at an elementary (which is in Nashville, TN). I worked at vacation Bible school every year since I was 14 years old. I also worked in my old church's child care rooms every Sunday. Each Sunday varied the age group room. I am so passionate about kids. I am earning my degree through online school to become a kindergarten teacher so I can work with and teach them for the rest of my life. I recently just nannied for 3 toddlers for a year. It was a great job. I then worked at a daycare/preschool as a 2-year-old teacher caring/teaching for 7 2-year-olds daily for almost a year. I left there because I recently moved back to TN. I started working for a daycare as soon as I moved back. I left after 3 months after realizing it was not the right place for me. I could not support the operations there. I currently work part time now as a server/host at restaurant downtown. I would love to get back to caring for children. My true passion. I am willing to give my work place 2 weeks notice if there is the right family needing me full-time and can not work around my schedule at the restaurant.
