My name is Katherine and I am a professional childcare provider with many years of experience caring for infants and toddlers. I am educated in each stage of child development and am able to prepare each child to excel past his/her age capabilities.

I graduated from the Moscow Pedagogical Institute, majoring in infant through adolescent psychology. I started my career in Moscow, while I was still in college, where I began working with foster care children as a night nanny. I then learned that I wanted to emphasize my studies on child development and psychology.

I came to San Francisco in 1989, and went to work for a family day care center. My experience there lasted a couple of years where I enjoyed working with infants and multiple babies at the same time.

In the early 1990's I got my first job through a house-staffing agency. I worked for a family for over two years and utilized my education and skills to teach a 6-month-old boy how to speak and understand 2 languages fluently and at 18 months he was able sound out words properly.

When I became more than a nanny and started teaching babies how to talk, I really enjoyed watching children achieve great results by knowing shapes, colors, on top of a larger vocabulary (starting from 18 months). I also did more research on the subject and was shocked to find out that 18-month-old toddlers are capable of having up to a hundred word vocabulary. I keep myself updated on new studies and continue to constantly update my teaching techniques.

I strive to provide professional care to the most important human-beings, our children. I am responsible, honest and an easygoing person. I treat families with respect, and get along well with different people.
