I have over 27 years of experience in the field of education and child care. Through my 27+ years of work with children, I have acquired excellent communication skills and developed nurturing relationships with children and their parents. My work experience includes: taking care of my nieces and nephew from birth to age 5, preschools, private schools, public schools and volunteer work. At the last school I taught at, I discovered, organized, and implemented a school-wide read-a-thon based on the book "Jester and Pharley" by David Saltzberg, raising a large sum of money that was used to buy "Jester and Pharley" books and dolls for the pediatric cancer patients at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA. This event was dear to my heart because I love to connect learning with serving the community and it's needs. I have worked in many different capacities in social and academic education. I have a cooperative and positive spirit and I am not afraid of hard work and new challenges. I am confident that the skills I developed as a result of my extensive and diverse experiences will allow me to be a wonderful and capable child care provider for your precious child/children.
