My name is Katherine. I am the oldest of 7 children, and my mother ran a daycare from when I was 2 years of age til I moved out of the house. I have always been around children and feel like I have a great ability to connect with them. I babysat at my church for about 7 years and then nannied for a family for a year. I have always watched my siblings for my parents and done on the side babysitting since I was 13 years old.
I am the step mother of a 4 year old girl and am expecting a baby boy on July 9th. My husband and I have decided it would be best for my family if I stay at home and raise our children instead of go out into the work force. With that being said, I suggested I look for one or two children to watch on a normal basis to bring in a little extra money on the side. I would only be having two at most children in my home besides my own children. I do not want to run a daycare or have it feel like a daycare.
