I was a regular babysitter for two families from 2006-2010. Each family had two preschool/elementary aged children. During the spring semester of my senior year of high school (Spring 2011), I was a teacher cadet for a first grade class. During this time, I worked with the children individually and in groups, planned lessons, assisted teaching lessons, and taught a few of my own lessons. During high school, I also took a Child Development class (Fall 2010) in which we ran a daycare once a week. I was an assistant dance instructor from 2008-2011. As an assistant I worked with lots of children, varying in age, to teach them to dance. As an assistant I worked with this students as a full group and individually, as needed. Most recently I nannied for three children (ages 9, 10 and 12) over the summer (Summer 2012). For this job I was expected to plan activities, provide transportation, prepare meals and provide basic childcare while maintaining a fun environment.
