I worked at American Dance Academy for two years as a student teacher. I taught ages 3 - 8 basic ballet, tap, and jazz. In summer 2011 I was hired as a student teacher at La Petite Academy. I worked from June 2011 until I had to return to Penn State University in August 2011. I worked primarily with ages 1-3, although I was also a substitute teacher for infants and ages 4-8. My duties consisted of leading circle time, planning and executing fun activities, supervising recess, serving/feeding lunch, changing diapers, and assisting with potty training. Depending on the age group I was working with, I worked with 6-8 children on average.
Currently I am a sophomore studying at Penn State Univeristy, University Park. Although I am working towards a BS in chemical engineering, I love working and playing with children because I like to know that I am a good role model and I set a good example for children.
