My passion is to teach and inspire children in a fun and entertaining way! I am an Elementary Education major at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have been babysitting for families in my hometown of Sheboygan, WI since I was 12. I volunteered for 5 summers at a local program called Safety Town that targeted 4 and 5-year-olds just learning how to be independent. We taught them how to cross the street, how to call 911 if needed, how to wash their hands effectively, along with many other life-long lessons. From there, I volunteered with Special Olympics at their annual basketball tournament. During my senior year in high school I volunteered during the school day in an elementary school classroom as well as a middle school classroom. Then, I worked at a local daycare for three summers (reference available). I worked with infants through kindergartners at the day care and, needless to say, they stole my heart! I worked with a young boy with a hearing disability in addition to a boy with ADHD. We all had a great time learning our ABC's, coloring in the lines, and playing Ring-Around-the-Rosy.
