My name is Kari. I am currently a sophomore at Illinois State University. I am majoring in elementary education. I have worked at Educare (daycare) in Wasco, IL, for a little over two years. There, I worked with infants, 1 to 2-year-old's, and 2 to 3-year-old's. This job allowed me to care for the children, change diapers, arrange meals and play with the children. In high school, I was in child development courses all four years, where I learned about infants to elementary level students. I also, was a teacher assistant at Ferson Creek for a fifth grade class and kindergarten class from this course. I helped out the teacher when I was needed and was able to interact with the students. I love working with children, I have known that I wanted to do this forever.
