I enjoy working with children, especially younger children, for a variety of reasons. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Sociology. My focus was how these fields could be utilized in the field of early education. While in college, I participated in an internship working with an early intervention program with children aged infant to 3 years. I found I enjoyed creating activities and interacting with the children and their families to aid in the cognitive, social and emotional development of the children. I have also worked as an infant/toddler teacher and a preschool teacher in both small, private settings and large corporate centers, developing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for the children in my care. I became a nanny when I needed wanted to form closer bond with child in my care. I also enjoy the flexibility of structuring the day to include not only meeting physical needs but the ability to meet emotional, social & cognitive needs by designing activities /outings geared towards individual child.
