I am 22 years old and recently moved to Michigan from Florida for an internship in Music Therapy. I am a volunteer leader for Young Life ministries in NE Grand Rapids where my husband works full-time. I enjoy playing music, working with children and older adults, crafting/decorating, and enjoying the beautiful Michigan outdoors!! I am looking for part-time work to help pay the bills and save up for a future home.

Starting at age 13, I have experienced working with children of all ages (newborn-teenager) including those with special needs. In high school, I babysat for a single mom with three children (ages 3, 9, and 11, the youngest with special needs) and for a family with four children (ages 3 months, 2, 4, and 6). In college I worked 8-10 hours weekly with a 3-year-old boy and occasionally for another family with two children (ages 1 and 3). Throughout my internship and practicum experience in Music Therapy, I have spent time working with clients with various special needs (ages 2-22, individual and group) using cognitive-behavioral therapy. I enjoy being creative with children through crafts and music and am well trained in diaper changing, cooking, house cleaning, discipline (following through with rules at home), etc. I am also CPR certified!
