I started baby-sitting when I was 12 years old and continued right up through college for most of the same families. I have sat for children ages 2 months through 16 years. I love each age and the possibilities they present. I am a firm believer that children should be constantly engaged, be it with the mind or the body and I like to have different activities that challenge both. I have been working out of the child care field for a few years now, but have missed it. I watch my friends' children whenever the chance arises. I love animals. I have dogs and cats of my own, so any chance to meet new furry friends is exciting. I am a certified EMT. Any emergencies that might come up will be dealt with quickly and efficiently. I enjoy playing all sorts of games, from card, to basketball, to charades. I am crafty; I think painting or coloring is a great way to pass a rainy Pacific Northwest afternoon.
I currently volunteer with the Sheriff's Office as a member of Search and Rescue, as well as the County Bloodhound SAR. In being a member of these groups, I have to pass an extensive background check.
* I am currently pregnant, due September 3rd, 2012. I am looking for a position that would not mind me bringing my child to work with me, or even just having other children at my house, whichever is easier for both parties.
