First and foremost, I am one of five children, which has a lot to do with my love of children and family. I babysat for my parents regularly when I was in middle school and high school. Second, I spent a summer as a nanny for a family in the Cincinnati area (my hometown) during the summer of 2008. The family had two children, a 9-year-old daughter, and a 12-year-old boy. We went on day trips to museums, water parks, the zoo, and more typical summer activities.
I transported the children to and from swim practice, and at times provided care for the child who lived next door. Also, as a personal care worker, I supervised a teen with Autism while also assisting her with chores, personal care, etc.

I love working with children because of their sheer energy. Children are adventurous, and always up for a new challenge, as am I. I appreciate children's honesty. Though they may lie at times, they usually speak their mind freely. I also recognize the need for care, parents, by nature, are busy, and sometimes need assistance (my parents certainly did).
