Right after exiting high school, I applied for a job as a paraprofessional at Highland Park Elementary, while there I was working with children between the ages of 5 to 10. I worked there for two years and the quit so I could earn my college degree. I have volunteered the last three years at a behavioral treatment camp, and was hired to be one of the councilors this year. The kids I worked with were children with Oppositional Defiance Order, High-functioning Autism, and Attention Deficit Disorder, between the ages of 8 to 14. I plan to work there the rest of my summers while I am in school, and maybe for some time afterword. I have been watching children since I was 15 and had found a calling with them, I am at the University of Utah, majoring in Special Education.
