Hi! I know some baby sign language & soon I'll be taking more sign language classes just for my benefit. I have taken 9 years of French, but I'm a little rusty & well as Czech. I have babysat/nannied for families with children of all ages, including infants. I started when I was 9; with my twin sister & brother, who are 8 years younger than me. I majored in Child Development & minored in Psychology. I went to the University of Oregon, as well as Whittier College. I love children, especially the younger ones. I wanted to major in special needs, but my college took out that field. Now I'm thinking about working as a Speech Pathologist or in a children's hospital. I have always been interested in working with children, observing their behavior & how they think. I've also always been intrigued by children who are autistic, or with any other special need. I just love them! I have traveled with families, as well as stayed home with the kids while the parents are out of town. We have lots of fun! I do all different kinds of activities with the children, as well as go on little outings, such as the zoo, park, etc. I have worked at a few different preschools out in Whittier, along with tutoring children who have ADHD, autism or are considered "at risk" in school. A lot of my families I have worked for, I started when the kids were just babies & some I still watch; others are now about 14 years old & our families remain good friends. I have watched up to 8 children at once, & even out in public I felt like I had complete control over them. Infants are like second nature to me, as I grew up taking care of my siblings &family friends, as well as every toddler that lives on my block (every house). Watching children has been my main job for almost my whole life so far. I love being active, silly & challenging.
