I am currently studying at Central Michigan University with an elementary education concentration. My major is Early Childhood Development and Learning with minors in both Math and Language Arts. I have experience working with children between the ages of three and six. My high school had a preschool program attached to it, where I took a class to be a teacher assistant in the program. The children in the program were between the ages of three and six. I was required to prepare lessons, along with materials to help teach the students. When I wasn't teaching I was interacting with the students by participating in activities, such as pretend play, lessons other teachers had prepared and reading student's stories. I would also help prepare snacks and clean up after each activity, as well as at the end of the day. I have experience dealing with children who either aren't potty trained or who may have an accident every once in a while. I also have experience observing children for class requirements. I have observed children throughout the day in Central Michigan University's Child Development Learning Laboratory. I also babysat my cousin when he was younger several years ago.
