Our family has had a long history with Julie over the past 3 years. When I first met and interviewed Julie, I knew she was the one that would be perfect for our night time nanny position, when our twins were 6 weeks old. She was a huge help in continuing our Baby Wise night time program, which helped them sleep 10-12 hours at night, by the age of 4 months (which they were born 3 weeks early, so their corrected age was 3 months, 1 week). After this time, we had a day time nanny, and Julie would help out here and there as needed. I later asked Julie to become the girls' full-time nanny at their age of 12 months, and she continued on until the girls were age 2 1/2. At this time, the girls were enrolled into full-time school (ready set program for preschool). This transition was difficult for myself, and Julie, because we had become a family. But we are still a part of each other's family, and Julie still watches the girls outside of a full-time position. The next planned vacation is our 5 year anniversary for my husband and I, and Julie along with her family, will stay at our home for 7 days. This is our first time being away this long, and I feel so comfortable leaving, because I know everything will be fine as long as Julie is here. I have never trusted anyone more than I have Julie when it comes to my children!
When Julie talks about her gift, she is telling the truth! She has the ability to stay calm, and teach appropriate behavior, all while one, two or three children may be having a meltdown! ;) As many mothers know, these times can be stressful and can test our patience. This seems so easy, and natural for her to keep her cool. This is a gift, because she is consistent with patience, love, and discipline. She cared for our children as if they were her own, and I know this is the case with any other family she works for. This is just who Julie is. We love Julie, and you will too!
