Following my heart to make child-care my career was one of the most rewarding and fulfilling choices I've ever made. I love caring and working with children because everyday is different - I get to problem-solve, be creative, keep active and have fun! In addition to the four years I've served as a nanny, I've been babysitting and volunteering for children's programs since I was 10 years old. In 2008, I became a full-time nanny for a family with three children in Chicago, Illinois. With 1-month-old boy/girl twins and a 17-month-old girl, I found a steady rhythm with a wonderful family. Before long, I was taking classes in Early Childhood Education, and over the next three years, I completed 19 credits with a 4. 0 GPA. In November 2011, I began working for another amazing family part-time, while at the same time continuing to nanny with the first family. My new family had an 11-month-old boy and a three-and-a-half year-old boy. My childcare philosophy is to be consistent but flexible, to offer care with lots of love, laughter, and patience and to take the time to listen, teach, and explore. I've recently relocated back to San Francisco from Chicago. Though I miss my families and kids in Chicago terribly, I'm thrilled to be back in the city that I consider home. And, I'm really looking forward to working with another special family sometime soon.
