I have had the fortunate opportunity to work and play with children as a parent (two wonderful daughters 24 and 26), teacher (special education and regular education), tutor, daycare provider, nanny, mother's helper, PCA, parks and recreation leader, Girl Scout leader, and Sunday School teacher. I volunteered on a pediatrics hospital ward and for Special Olympics, and babysat during college.

I have patience, humor, creativity, warmth, and plenty of flexibility. I believe that children need a sense of security derived from guidance, structure and reasonable expectations based on their level of development. I encourage good manners, compassion for others (and animals) and fun that isn't necessarily tied to computers and electronic toys. Reading, arts and crafts, cooking, Kool-Aid stands, and music are on my list of fun things to do. My goal as a nanny is to set a foundation that will help children grow, explore, and become unique little people to their best of their abilities.
