I am very lucky to have been a stay at home mom since 1986 (!) and my kids are now (1) a sophomore in college and (2) out of college and living in NYC; therefore, they no longer need me as much!

I have also been a substitute teacher's aide for three years where 50% of the assignments were with learning disabled kids, 1:1 or small groups of three to seven kids. Also, one of my daughters has a speech dysfunction which requires a lot of patience, so I am very comfortable working with kids. I have been a Sunday school teacher, Girl Scout leader, softball coach, and volleyball team mom. Aside from three years as an on-call teacher's aide, all my experience has been unpaid for the past 24 years. These were things I chose to do because I enjoyed helping children.

I have always spent all of my time with my kids in a learning environment and we have enjoyed a lot of time doing artsy crafty things.

I would be happy to get your kids off to school in the morning with a nice healthy breakfast if needed, then pick them up or meet them after school, be sure they have a nutritious after school snack, transport them to after school activities, or be sure they do their homework.
