I have been babysitting children since I was 14 years old. Most of my experience is with one particular family, which I have been babysitting for for the past 8 years. I started babysitting when the oldest child was an infant and continue to babysit for the family when I am home from college. The ages of the children are now 8, 6, and 2 years of age. The past two summers I have played more of a full-time role for the family. I was in charge of watching the children daily during the afternoon and evening hours of the week. I have also been responsible for all three children for entire weekends while the parents are out of town. I have also traveled with the family on family vacation to aid in taking care of the children while away from home. My duties included getting the children ready in the morning, taking them to karate lessons, swim lessons and other daily activities such as readings at the library and music classes, taking them to the community pool and swimming with them, doing arts and crafts with the children, making sure the older two children fed the pets, preparing and cleaning up meals, bathing the children, reading stories before bed, and putting the children to sleep.
I enjoy doing many activities with children including: playing outside, going for bike rides and walks, making arts and crafts, reading, board games, and many sports. I am an avid swimmer and am a member of my college varsity swim team. I am also certified as a Lifeguard and in CPR and First Aid.
