Hello, my name is Julie. I am 35 & live in the Beckley Woods neighborhood in Middletown. I was laid off from my position as a flight attendant, which I have been for the last 5 years, in April & found out the day I was laid off that I was pregnant & I am due in December. Wonderful news but quite a shock, my husband & I were not expecting it at all. Needless to say a couple months off have been very nice but now I am getting stir crazy & my obsessive nesting is driving my husband nuts. I am looking for something to do to primarily get me out of the house & getting a job with another airline is out of the question at this point in time. We are already planning on me being a stay at home mom for the first few years & I have been thinking for awhile that taking on other kids as a supplemental income is what I would like to do. I haven't had any "professional" babysitting experience since I was a teenager but I have lots of nieces, nephews, & friends with kids that would vouch for me not to mention all the unaccompanied minors I would get on my flights that taking care of was my responsibility. I sincerely love kids & for whatever reason they draw to me, probably because I am a big kid myself at heart & am not afraid to be silly & get on their level. As a future parent myself I realize how important it is to feel safe & comfortable with who you leave your children in the care of as well as someone your kids like.
