Since I was 12 years old I have been baby sitting or nannying. When I was 15 I watched 3 young children while their parents were house hunting in another state for a week. In 2011 I was a P.E. teacher, but then moved for my husband's job. Before I transferred colleges, I completed half of a teaching program where I student taught and created a curriculum for a 5th grade health class for 1 semester. I also took courses such as child psychology and intro to education. I went on to get a BA degree in English. Throughout college I worked caring for young adults and adults with disabilities in their homes and at the local high school special education classes. I also was an optician who performed minor eye procedures on children and taught them about proper eye care and contact wear. I am a mother of a 2-year-old girl.
