Hi, this is just a little about my 23 years of work experience.
I have worked with 2 months to 15 years old and also have experience with twins, two to three siblings, one child, one family, and nanny shares.
I teach the children sign language to help communication and minimize tantrums.
I also teach a little Spanish just so they have some exposure to another language. I also have CPR and first aid training.
I think that childhood is so short now that children should have fun while learning. We play games, pretend, arts and crafts, read books, puzzles, nature walks, playgroups, museums, and the zoo. I talk to the children about the things around us and we go to the library to pick out books that reinforce what we see and do.
I have two years of experience working in a day care while attending college for Early Childhood Education. I also, have worked in church nurseries as a nursery attendant; with ages 3 to 9 years old and as many as 20 children at one time. I am certified in nanny management and household management in Denver, Colorado. I have taken classes from libraries, Love and Logic, and a children's hospital. I am able to think outside of the box when faced with a difficult situation. (Sort of like a Nanny McGyver).
I have never been married, don't have children, and don't smoke. I believe that improving one's self is important that is why I have continued with my education for the last two years by attending college online for a Bachelors of Art degree.
I am available to work part time or full time.
