I've been exposed to an intimate family life my entire childhood (and green adulthood). I'm not familiar with any other way of life, although I wouldn't want anything different. I'm the third eldest child in a family of six with literally a couple of hundred cousins stretching from the U. S. to Mexico. I've been caring for kids since I was a child myself; whether with family members, neighbors, and/or friends. Mexican culture advertises and surely practices self-sufficiency from a young age. When my family and I moved to Maple Falls almost a decade ago, my family and I volunteered at a Sunday school in intervals with other members of the church. I've also been an active volunteer Sunday schoolteacher at another church in Everson for two years and counting, so I've been open to appreciate babies and children even more through this experience. I've volunteered at a horse riding center for children with special needs, where my heart exceedingly grew for children. I have a quiet gentle approach with children, but when I've gained their trust, I'm comically sarcastic and love them with a tough, enduring love. If anyone has learned how to genuinely care for and interact wholeheartedly with children, I'm your gal.
