My first job was being a nanny for my two younger brothers who are now 9 and 13. I started when my youngest brother was about 2 years old. At the time I was doing a home-schooling program so I was his full time nanny. I also helped my mother by caring for my other brother who was a few years older than him. I would begin the day with breakfast and getting the older one ready for school then we would walk him there. Until it was time to pick him up the rest of the day was filled with out door play and many learning activities for the younger one. After school days went typically the same; involving homework, snack and play time etc. As time progressed both boys went to school but I was still a nanny for both children, caring for them before and after school.

I also volunteered in a home day care center, and at an Elementary in Dublin CA. At the day care center, my responsibilities were preparing meals, diaper changing, watching the kids during outside play, conducting indoor and out door activities.

At the elementary school, I was a teacher assistant in a second grade class. There, I mostly helped the students that had a harder time learning the material, we would form a group and I would tutor them on the subject they were having trouble in. The areas I worked in were reading, math, and science. I would also conduct arts and crafts activities with the students.

I did occasional local babysitting for neighbors and family growing up, usually on occasional nights or as needed.

I am passionate about what I do, I go to California State State University, East Bay. I major in Human Development with a concentration on Early Childhood. I am hoping to continue on to get my Masters and eventually become an elementary school teacher.
