In Summer 2010, I worked for the YMCA at their summer camp. I was responsible for the care of children ages 5-13, but my main group of children were 7-9. We played games, did crafts, swam, leadership activities, and field trips. I served as a mentor and role model for the campers and was responsible for their safety. In the Summer of 2011, I was a nanny for a family in my neighborhood. The boy was 3 years old. I was responsible for his daily well-being, as I cooked two meals a day for him and stayed with him all day. I made sure he was on time for all appointments and activities, and we went on a variety of trips together during the day. I also worked with him on basic academic skills. I have taken a child safety class, first aid class, and CPR class. References available upon request.
