Hi there! My name is John, and I am from Mequon, WI. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities (age 20) and am majoring in Public Relations while minoring in Spanish. Although I am not studying education or child care, I have had my fair share of experiences with children. Ever since I turned 13, I became a regular babysitter for a friend of the family. When I started the youngest was a girl (age 3/4) and the oldest was a boy (age 6/7). I continued babysitting them until I turned 15 and started to pursue more regular jobs. I have also been a lifeguard for the past two years (guarding during swim lessons, and at the YMCA), so I can definitely discipline children/enforce rules while still keeping things fun and not intimidating. Last summer while teaching lessons, a woman actually hired me to privately teach her grandchildren swimming lessons.

Admittedly, on and off babysitting is of course not enough to qualify me for a nannying position, but the most experience I have with children is during the summers. I teach swimming lessons during the week (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. -12 p.m.) at the Mequon City Pool.
