Hi, my name is Jocelyn. I am a stay-at-home mom of a 3-year-old boy and expecting our second baby in June. I am married to my wonderful husband of a year and a half now, we have been together for four years, and we moved to southern California when he became a marine. We recently moved to Fallbrook from Oceanside but grew up in a small town about 10 hours away. I have been baby-sitting since middle school for family, and family friends. In high school, I had many different baby-sitting jobs as well, then I had my wonderful little boy, so I have plenty of experience with all ages of children. My most recent childcare job was for a 4-month-old baby girl, she is now almost 9 months old. The job ended due to her mom getting out of the military and no longer needed me full time. My son just adored her for the time that I baby-sat her, he was always so gentle and liked to help out by getting a diaper for me or bringing the wipes whatever he could do he just loved it. We have a 10-month-old Boxer dog, he is a great dog and well behaved. He gets excited at first when new people come over but he is for the most part real calm and relaxed. He is great with kids, my son climbs all over him and he would never snap. We have a small yard, that we are soon going to be putting nice grass in and hopefully a swing set and we have a gated patio where my son loves to play, he has tons of toys and is very good about sharing. My son is very smart, he knows all his shapes, colors, about 10 letters of the ABC's, and loves to do flash cards, he even knows some numbers and can count to 10 almost, it's amazing to me. I love teaching him all that I can, and would love to teach more children. I plan to start some child development classes and get CPR certified as soon as I find the time to do so. I don't just put the kids in front of the TV all day, I love to be involved in play and learning as much as I can. Don't get me wrong though my son does love to watch his morning cartoons, but just not all day. I do not have a vehicle most days because my husband takes our car to work with him, he leaves it sometimes but I can not promise to have a vehicle so parents must be able to drop off/pick up. I can provide healthy meals and snacks, but will say that for parents who can not pay that much, I totally understand but would ask that I am paid enough to provide healthy food for your children. Normally for full-time, I ask anywhere from $100-$150 a week, just depending on the hours. Part-time is negotiable, depending on hours as well, but normally flat rate for the whole day up to 12 hours is $25 per child. If you have multiple children, I will definitely work out something with you, for example, two children will be for $35 a day, three children for $45. Just let me know your budget of what you can afford and most likely, I will not say no because I can understand quality childcare can be expensive, specially if you have more than one child, but I do try to make it affordable for all parents no matter what their financial situation is. I am open to occasional childcare, as well as overnight. I will take any ages of children, but would love a child around my son's age, but of course, I love the little ones. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, and my reference information is on file. I strongly encourage parents to contact at least one reference, you should feel as comfortable as possible leaving your trust in someone with your children. Thank you for your time, I hope to hear from you soon.
