I worked in day care right out of high school. I continued my education and began teaching preschools. I have had the opportunity to work with children of all ages. I worked at a private preschool in Naples for 9 years as the Preschool Teacher of the 4 and 5-year-old's. I was promoted to Assistant Director in 2007, at the same school. I loved my job. I enjoyed working in the classroom. Also being Assistant Director, and working with the parents. I continued to learn new skills in the office. I will be honest. I am very highly spoken of. I have many families that would give me a great recommendation as I could use them for reference. In 2009, moved back home. Now in 2011, I am moving back to Ft. Myers, FL. I just love it here. I have all the state required courses and continuing education hours. I earned my CDA (Childhood Development Associates) degree in 2004, and continue to renew every 5 years. I am CPR certified, I also have a current background check on file. I work closely with the parents to make sure all needs are tended to. Communication is the key. As of right now I work at Kohl's Corporate The Child Care Development Center. I have been there for the last two years and it's been fun. I am the Two's 1 Primary Teacher. I write weekly individualized lesson plans. We take anecdotal notes on the children's daily activities. It keeps updates on the child's development. Then have conferences with with parents. This tells the parents of lessons we have in our class, some silly stories and pictures are shared. Also express any concerns and comments. I love being with children. Children make people happy. I follow a daily schedule, kids need routine, (and music), I encourage a curious mind, it's how we learn. I will provide a caring, nurturing, healthy, clean and safe environment. I enjoy teaching and helping them grow and discover new concepts. I am motivated and dedicated to early education. It's what I am meant to do. I would love to find a family that is looking for full time care giver. This is my career. I work for corporate, the company and the benefits are great. But, I would rather focus more one on one with a family and build a relationship. The pay scale would be discussed further due to job duties and number of children. I will provide the best care possible!
