I have worked with children for five years. I have been a private tutor, a camp counselor, nanny and babysitter. I have worked with children as young as one year to as old as fifteen. I am educated in CPR and I am comfortable dealing with children with disabilities. My approach is one of mutual respect. I communicate to children with the same tone of voice that I do with adults, which in my experience makes children feel like they are on the same level as me which quickly builds trust. I enjoy babysitting and tutoring because I enjoy surrounding myself with the innocence and playfulness that children innately possess. I think encouraging imagination is extremely important and next to safety encouragement and creativity are most important to me. I am currently living in Olympia, Washington and am looking to babysit for families. Although I can drive, I do not have car and thus would have to work with families that live near bus stops.
