I just moved to Ventura, California from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! Before moving, I was a nanny for two children who were 3.5 and 1.5 when I left. I had been with them for 1.5 years. Before that I was a nanny to a 2-year-old girl, whom I had been watching since she was 3 months old. Prior to working as a nanny, I was a daycare/preschool teacher for over three years. I have worked with all ages from 6 weeks to 6 years. My last six months at the preschool were spent in the "baby rooms" which was 6 weeks to 12 months, so I am very familiar with infants and their developmental needs. Two years were spent teaching 18-month-old, and another six or so months were spent with 3-year-old kids focusing on potty training.
I am First aid and CPR certified!!

While at the preschool, I taught baby sign language to my students so that is a skill I could bring to the job! I've babysat many children (once 30 at a time for a Christmas party!), usually 2 or 3 children aged 6-12. Two years ago, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Temple University. I enjoy taking the children I watch to Gymboree, the library, out for walks, zoos, museums, aquariums, etc. I have worked with children with disabilities and my nephew is ADHD, and my niece is autistic, so I have been to exposed to a variety of challenges and joys associated with working with children.
