Hello, my name is Jessica. I am currently a student teacher in a preschool room in the Mentor area, finishing up my last semester of my Early Childhood education degree ( birth- pre-K) at Lakeland Community College. I will be graduating this spring and transferring to Kent State University to pursue my bachelors and masters also in Early Childhood Education ( K- 3rd grade). I am a full time nanny for a family in the area but have had to leave the majority of my duties for the semester while I student teach.
The family I nanny for has 3 young boys, ages ranging from 18 months to 6 years old, so I am used to being active and prepared for anything. I have been with this family for 2 years now and will resume my duties in May 2012. In my nanny job I was required to drive children to and from school and activities, do light laundry and housekeeping, cook and of course care for the boys. Along with those jobs I often would travel for weekends or whole weeks at a time on vacations with them. I am comfortable and confident in providing age appropriate care for all children and both my previous jobs and education have given me the skills to provide this care. I am looking for weekend and after school or evening care for the short period that I will not be at my job. I do have many references that I will make available. For my teaching career I am required by state law to be fingerprinted every year and also letters of character for education I can provide.
