I graduated from West Chester University with my bachelor's degree in early childhood education and have been a preschool teacher for the last four years. Before teaching, I spent years as a babysitter for various families near my home. I teach children ages two, three and four, and we focus not only on the academic aspects of the classroom (letter/number recognition, name writing, etc.) but also on socialization and peer interaction.
I absolutely love what I do for a variety of reasons:

(1) Every day is different and presents new challenges and new pleasures.
(2) Children, especially at this age (and even younger) are like sponges, and will "soak up" what they are taught... it's incredible to watch them grasp a concept and get excited about learning!
(3) Children are loving and inquisitive.
(4) Working with children can be challenging, but it is difficult to find a job that would be more fulfilling or more rewarding day after day.
