I am a student at the University of Texas studying Communication Sciences and Disorders, aspiring to work with children in my career. I currently nanny for a 6-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy twice a week, because that is all my schedule allows. I pick up both children from school and take them to tennis, lacrosse, dance, tutoring, and much more. I especially love helping them with their homework, being active, and teaching them crafts or new games. I also work with children at Kidworks Therapy Services, assisting with speech, physical, and occupational therapy sessions. I also work with Girl Scouts of America through my sorority, by hosting badge workshops and fun events like International Girls Day, Career Fairs, anti-bullying campaigns, princess tea parties, and more. As a member of the UT SHARE Program I sometimes give large groups of kids tours of the University of Texas; I love teaching them about fun trivia and college life, and I love the challenge of making all the kids excited and focused. Even when I was captain of the dance team at Katy High School, my favorite event was always Dance N Cheer because I was able to host hundreds of young girls and teach them about dance.
