I enjoy getting children of all ages involved in fun, active, learning experiences. I pride myself on not being a sitter who will put in a movie, and let the television do my job. From finger painting, baking, dress-up to board games to building forts, I think that engaging children in interactive activities is far more rewarding than say, putting on the television, or sending them outside to play, as some sitters do.

I worked as a nanny for a 5-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy from September 2007 to July 2009.

Everyday, I would do the following: picked them up from school, assisted them in homework, piano practice, and various other after school activities, light cleaning: dishes, sweeping, vacuuming, and start dinner for the mother.

I work at my local children's club every summer (June 2009 up to present) as an activity/event staff. This entailed working with children whose ages ranged from 6 to 14. I interacted with children on a daily basis by organizing field trips, running clubs, and activities to keep the children occupied, and serving as a mentor to our Leadership Torch Club.

I am also an American Red Cross certified babysitter, since the summer of 2006. I also volunteer coaching my local Youth Cheer Leading team every summer, which has helped me build experience in serving as a positive role model for young girls.
