I grew up in a giant family and was one of the older kids, so I was always taking care of my younger cousins (age ranging from new borns to preteens). I had a part time job when I was younger watching the children up the road. They were 6, 4 and 2 and major bundles of energy. I have nannied for my favorite little nieces on and off since they were born, the older one is now 5 and the younger one is now a year and a half. I am patient with the kids as watch because that's just it, they're kids. I love helping them learn and having play time which includes anything from toys and puppet shows to arts and crafts time. I think it is important to get the kids outside during this beautiful, but short Alaska summer.
