OPENING JANUARY 2012!
I have always had a love for children and wanted to be a teacher. Unfortunately, upon researching job options in the great state of Pennsylvania they were slim to none. Also, paying for college was a difficult road and sadly, working full time ending up winning out. Once I gave birth to my first child in 2009, I was reminded of the dream I had always had to work with children. I began picking up babysitting jobs here and there, interacting with friends children and getting involved in local parenting groups, even starting one of my own!
I, myself, chose a family daycare provider for our first child after going on visits to centers and even having her in a center part-time as an infant. From there the spark came to me of starting my own in home child care and thus, Giggle and Grow Child Care was born. That is a very long story short, though, as I have worked diligently on this dream for over two years now. I have spent much time researching day in and day out to get ideas of where to start and how to make this dream come true. From there, I have worked to establish my policies, procedures and curriculum, attended CPR classes, made menus and perfected recipes, obtained background checks, created the Giggle and Grow Child Care Handbook, Registration Forms, Contract and eventually this website.
I am very dedicated and motivated in making this business run smoothly, but please know that this is more than just a business to me. I have been where most of you have been researching and searching for that perfect day care for my child. I have tried to take everything that I was looking for and make Giggle and Grow just that for parents like you. I hope that you agree!
