I worked as a toddler teacher for many years and just love the curiosity and enthusiasm children have. I have had 3 nanny jobs. My first one was a live-in position for twin infant girls. They were 5 months old when I started and I stayed until they were 2. I got them up and bathed in the mornings. Prepared meals and bottles for them throughout the day. I had lots of fun planning activities that helped them develop physically as well as mentally. Also planned lots of art/sensory projects. I also taught them sign language. My second nanny job was for a 3-year-old boy and his 6-month-old sister. This was a part-time afternoon/evening position. Very intelligent kiddos and we did lots of educational/science projects as well as creative art. Also went on lots of outings to the library and parks. I stayed with this family for about a year before they moved out of state. My most recent nanny position was for a 6-year-old girl and her 9-month-old sister. I took the oldest to kindergarten and then also picked her up from school until summer. We spent lots of time baking and planning cooking/art projects. Both of these girls were very creative and loved messy sensory activities like finger painting with chocolate pudding. We also did a lot of outdoor activities over the summer. They moved out of town which is why this position ended and I am now looking for my next family.
All three of these families I still am very close with and keep in contact with. All have offered to be used as references too for new job prospects.
