I can comment on the negative 1 star review that was posted. I'm sure Jessica canceled before the interview on short notice with the other family because I had offered her the job shortly before. She did not want to waste the other families time by going on an interview if she already accepted the position with mine. I was very picky on who I wanted to watch my child as any parent would be. I went through several different interviews to find the right person and even through a nanny already. After going through profile after profile, Jessica's response to my posting stood out to me. I first held a phone interview with her to go over the basics, get a feel for her and let her know what I was looking for. After the phone interview I asked her to come by the house to meet with the baby and do a more formal interview with me. Jessica was early arriving to the interview and she was full of energy. She asked many questions during the interview and that showed she was interested. She truly loves children. I called her references and they all had nothing but positive comments to say about her. The reference gave me examples of what Jessica does and reasons why they enjoy having her as a nanny/babysitter. After deciding to hire Jessica I felt great with my decision. I had Jessica come over a day early on a Sunday and work a full day with me to learn my child's routine. This helped the baby get use to her and Jessica was able to learn her way around the house. On the 1st day, Monday she called me to ask questions if she didn't know the answer. I thought that was very responsible instead of trying to make a decision on her own that she was unsure of. She still to this day calls for any questions she may have. She also answers the phone every time I call to check in. She does a great job of writing down detail of how the day went. She keeps a log for you so you know when the baby was fed, what the baby ate, when the baby was changed, naps, etc. She interacts with the baby a lot. She will read, play with toys, go for walks and play games. There have been times I have come home early and stood by the door. I would listen to what they are doing and every time you always hear my child and her laughing. If and when she needs to take a day off for a doctor's appointment she will give you plenty of notice so you can make arrangements for care while she is out. Jessica is very mature, arrives early everyday ready to care for my infant. She is never tired and very attentive I would recommend Jessica to any family that is looking for a caring nanny. You will not be disappointed by any means. She is one of the best I have found in the city. She is very sweet and you can tell she really enjoys her job.
