I grew up with two younger siblings and, at age 11, I was put in charge of caring for them whenever my parents had to go out. My parents were missionaries to the countries of Venezuela and Mexico, starting in 2005, and there I worked with mission teams that visited to do Bible Schools with the children. I worked part time tutoring elementary aged children in English, Reading, Spelling, and Math during high school. During my first year of college, I worked with a local church to help care for the children of adults participating in an ESL group. I translated for them, and at times was in charge of a group of 4-6 kids.
