Throughout my life, I have always sought out opportunities to enrich the lives of children. I have numerous experiences working with children, from babysitting regularly, to taking early childhood development classes, to taking an after school job at a day care center, to majoring in elementary education so that I may become a teacher, to nannying and working at a summer camp as a special needs counselor. Post college. I have taught in elementary schools for six years now. I was a nanny for a family in Wheaton, Illinois for two summers during my time in college. It was a full time job in which I cared for two elementary age girls, enriching their learning with science experiments, library outings, visiting museums, and other outside activities. I used much of my training as an elementary teacher to provide an environment where they felt loved and cared for. I have a plethora of experience working with children, from infants all the way up to elementary school age. I also have a daughter of my own who was born last May. I would love to find a full time nannying position in which I could bring my daughter along, while I take care of someone else's children.
