I have my masters degree in Elementary Education. I have worked as a nanny for five years and I have also worked as a private tutor. As the sole parent, I have raised my now 6 year old son, while working. I worked as a nanny in New York City for five years with the same family. I started caring for the child when she was in forth grade, and continued with her until she was in eighth grade. I tutored her after school with all subjects of her homework, and also made sure that she had a healthy snack after school as well as a healthy dinner. I was a camp counselor in my summers while in college, working with 5-year-old children and planning an entire day of activities myself. My greatest accomplishment is that I have been a sole parent to my son for the past six and a half years, while working as a tutor. My son was reading by the time he was three and is in the gifted program in school. Essentially, my entire life has been about helping care for other people's children, whether as a nanny, camp counselor or tutor. I also raised my own son alone, so I am familiar with what it takes to raise a child from birth and all of the stages along the way. I have always treated any child I have worked with like they are my own child, and I am a very loving, nurturing caregiver. My references will tell you that your child with be well cared for by me.
