I've been a self employed nanny for the past 15+ years. I became a nanny immediately out of high school. And I've loved every second of it. I "jumped around" for the first few years trying to find that right family. I worked with a great family from 1997-2007. When I started with that particular family they had two children. The oldest was 4 and the youngest was 4 months. Two years later, another baby was born and I pretty much raised her from day one. I waited until the children went to school full-time, before I chose to look elsewhere for another job.

From 2007-2009, I was a preschool teacher. I enjoyed the job but it wasn't my niche. Being a nanny is where I need to be. I enjoy doing the stay-at-home tasks. I enjoy the one-on-one attention and care. I enjoy fulfilling the happiness of a child/children and family. And I enjoy doing the light household work.

I'm currently working for a family with two wonderful girls (2-years-old and 8-months-old). I started working with them in 2009. And as much as it pains me to be looking elsewhere, my employers job/financial decisions have left me with no other choice.
