Hello! My name is Jenn and I am an actress and artist living in NY. My freelance work gives me the freedom and flexibility to also pursue my love of working with children. I grew up in a household where my mother ran a daycare center and where I discovered early on my love of working with children. I began babysitting in high school and was a member of FEA (Future Educators Association). My educational background consists of Early Childhood Development, ASL/Deaf Studies, and Sign Language Interpreting. In addition to my years of babysitting experience of working with children ages infant to 14, I also have worked as a professional in preschool classroom settings (ages 2-5) as a director of a Before and After School Care Program through the YMCA, and as an Assistant Teacher in a 2nd/3rd grade classroom and a 7th/8th grade classroom. My personal philosophy is in working with children to create an environment that is disciplined and safe in a way that also sustains the necessary freedom that will empower and encourage children to learn about themselves and the world around them through their own discovery.
