Hi my name is Jennifer I am an outgoing, flexible person who loves working with kids. I started babysitting at the age of 12 for a family who had a 14-month-old daughter. By the time I was 14 years old I had three regularly scheduled babysitting jobs, along with staying on top of school and being a competitive dancer. I have babysat children of every age, from infant to 12 years old. Along with my regularly scheduled jobs, which I had for three years, I babysat for several other families at random times. I never wanted the parents to feel that I was leaving them with a mess that they had to clean up when they got home. I always made sure that the dishes were done along with having the house cleaned up. If it looked like it needed to be vacuumed or dusted I would do that as well. Whatever I could do to help the parents I would; I did this for any of my jobs, whether I was working 2 hours or 10 hours.
I graduated with my diploma in 2007 and started working full time. I took a year off of school and not only focused on work but on the children's department at my church. I have helped for the last 4 years build up our programs and figure out what would be beneficial to the kids in the classroom. I have taught from preschoolers up to 6th graders and have planned all sorts of events. I started CBC in the fall of 2008 and finished with my associates degree the summer of 2010. I have decided that I would like to start working towards my future goal, which is to open up my own daycare/preschool. I need a stepping stone in between and feel that being a nanny would be a great place to start.
